Sandison (4g Reset – Sandy’s Glow) has ticked off his maiden in fine style, winning at Wednesday’s Gawler meeting.
In what turned out to be a sit-and-steer job for Dominic Tourneur, he settled Sandison worse than midfield, before joining in strongly on the home turn and racing away for a comfortable win.
Today’s win was Sandison’s third run in the month of February and he has shown good improvement in each. The combination of a gear change, race experience and steps up in distance in all three starts have bought about pleasing improvement.
Minervini Racing would like to send out a special mention to John Dunn and Krystal Bishop, who put a lot of work into getting Sandison to the races.
Congratulations to the owners, stable supporter Nick House and Michelle Minervini.
