Exciting 4 year old, Triple Tee made it two in a row when he saluted in the 0-75 Sportingbet Handicap at Morphettville Parks on Saturday.
Trained by in-form leading Adelaide trainer Mark Minervini, and piloted by gun hoop Matthew Nielson, Triple Tee jumped brilliantly and was able to comfortably muster good early speed to lead a field of 11 on a day that suited on pace runners. As they straightened for home the leaders were engaged in a solid tussle for most of the straight, until Triple Tee forged away in the final furlong surging to the line to win by 3 lengths in the slick time of 1:15.92 seconds.
The Minervini stable was quietly confident that Triple Tee would at least put in a forward showing following his gritty win at Gawler 10 days prior. However, it is fair to suggest that at odds of $10 on track, he exceeded the expectations of the majority of punters. Given the authority with which Triple Tee won this race, it won’t be a surprise to see him in the winners stall again shortly.
Triple Tee is a half brother to outstanding race mare Vormista and the 2YO Redoute’s Choice x Truly colt which is in the care of Minervini. Mark has enjoyed a lot of succusses with this family and he looks forward to it continuing in the future.
