Rubi’s Serve franked her recent good form and scores her second win this preparation at Newcastle.

The daughter of the former Group 2 Schillaci Stakes winner and now Swettenham Stud stallion Rubick was a strong maiden winner at the end of November before running into a potential star a little over a week later at the same track.

Going down narrowly to Churchill’s Choice, the form was rubber-stamped when Churchill’s Choice then went on and won in town at Royal Randwick.

That left the Boxing Day assignment for the Minervini-trained mare, and under a cool ride from Lee Magorrian, Rubi’s Serve motored past her six rivals to score a win that stamped herself as a mare with great potential.

Rubi’s Serve was a $25,000 purchase by Mark Minervini from the Baramul Stud draft at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale.

The win was her second, and takes her stake earnings to over $76,000.

Congratulations to her owners Tony Blackmore, Bob & Kerrie Dailey, Craig Dedman, Jason Gallaher, Gerry Harvey, Nicole Heron, Bruce Hosking, Nathan Johns, Gary Metcalf, Michelle Minervini, John Pattison, Alan Rowe, Paul Till, Charlie Zucco, Wungali Racing Syndicate (Mgr: Bob Dailey), Yarramulwang Boys Syndicate (Mgr: Alan Rowe), ALT Syndicate (Mgr: Terry Williams) MyGav Racing (Mgr: My Lam).
