Shall Be makes it back-to-back Newcastle with another dominant home track display.

The son of Woodside Park stallion Shalaa (IRE) resumed in mid-January with a tidy maiden win and Saturday’s assignment was another step forward in what appears to be a promising career.

Rising in grade to a Benchmark 64 event, the gelding was placed in a lovely position by apprentice William Stanley, before the pair angled away from the leaders and held out a late challenge to win by just under half-a-length.

Shall was an $8,000 purchase by Mark Minervini from the Willow Park Stud draft at the 2023 Inglis HTBA sale and now has stake earnings in excess of $90,000.

Congratulations to his owners Grant Boyes, Kevin Dagg, William Goldthorp, Kristina Goldthorp OAM, Mike Lum, Colin Wightman, SYN Dailey Racing (Mgr: Bob Dailey), SYN Minervini Racing (Mgr: Michelle Minervini)
