Smiling Prophet has broken through in style, running away from her opposition and scoring a dominant maiden win on her home track on Tuesday afternoon.

The daughter of the former Caulfield Guineas winner and now Aquis Farm stallion Divine Prophet had shown the team at Minervini Racing a tremendous amount of ability from day one, and it was only a matter of time before she was able to break through and register her first success.

With a trial win at Newcastle under her belt leading into Tuesday’s event, Smiling Prophet only had to jump cleanly from the inside gate over the short-course, and the team were confident that she would be in the finish. Jump well and lead, she did and Mikayla Weir sent Smiling Prophet well clear on the turn before running away to record a soft win.

Smiling Prophet was a purchase from the Evergreen Stud Farm draft at the 2021 Inglis HTBA May Yearling Sale and the win was her first from only three starts.

Congratulations to her owners Hadyn Abel, Kylie Anderson, Joanne Cotton, Rick Fitzpatrick, Alex Heathcote, John Lauer, Mark & Michelle Minervini, Jimmy Roberts, Sandy Roberts, Steve Roberts, Nick & Andrew Shalhoub.
