Smiling Prophet has returned from an extended break with a super fresh win at Muswellbrook on Friday.

The daughter of the former Caulfield Guineas winner and now Highview Stud stallion Divine Prophet rounded out her last preparation in March of this year with two close-up fourth placings at Randwick and Rosehill respectively.

Benefiting from the time away from stable life, Smiling Prophet was afforded two trials in preparation for his resumption, and the team at Minervini Racing were quietly confident that the mare would put forward a bold run.

Settling in just off midfield under Christian Reith, the mare sprinted clear over the concluding stages to take out the feature event, the $29,000 Rusty Spanner Sprint (1000m)

Smiling Prophet was a purchase by Minervini Racing from the 2021 Inglis HTBA Yearling Sale.

The Muswellbrook win was her sixth, and takes her stake earnings to over $200,000.

Congratulations to her owners Hadyn Abel, Alex Heathcote, Steve Roberts, Andrew Shalhoub, Nick Shalhoub, SYN Dailey Racing (Mgr: Bob Dailey), SYN Wungali Racing (Mgr: Bob Dailey), SYN Harts Racing (Mgr: Rick Fitzpatrick), SYN Minervini Racing (Mgr: Michelle Minervini), SYN Bullgang (Mgr: Jimmy Roberts)
