Foxwedge gelding Go Gazza has delivered on all the early promise he had shown, scoring a super maiden win at Wyong.
The gelding was given a sweet ride by champion jockey Tommy Berry, balancing up with a lovely trail, two lengths off the leaders and travelling like the winner throughout. Berry asked Go Gazza for his effort rounding the corner and he quickly put the result beyond doubt.
Go Gazza was a 2019 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale purchase from the Kitchwin Hills draft, and was syndicated in partnership with our friends at Clanbrooke Racing.
The maiden success added $16,740 to Go Gazza’s stake earnings with a healthy addition of $5,625 in BOBS NSW bonuses taking the gelding’s overall tally to a tick under $45,000.
Congratulations to his ownership group, Stuart Costa, Joe Grima, Manual Grima, Peter Grima, Tammy Walker, Todd Johns, Greg Johns, Gary Johnson, Steven Kaddour, Vince Mazzaferro, Kevin McAvoy, Michelle Minervini, Mark Minervini, Warren Pratley, Clanbrooke Racing Syndictate (Mgr: Dean Humphries), Big Rocks Racing Syndicate (Mgr: Rhys Potter).
