Media Man has carried on his excellent form, scoring his second win in a row with success at Taree on Monday.
The son of the former Group 1 Caulfield Guineas winner and now Novara Park (NZ) stallion Press Statement has been a galloper that has tested the patience of Mark and the team at times, but through continued time, patience and persistence, the crew at Minervini Racing have been able to get the best out of the gelding, and he is now racing in career-best form.
Aaron Bullock, who rode Media Man to his last start win at Muswelbrook had the gelding travelling rearward early, after being slowly away from the gates but poked through and improved between runners as the field neared the home turn. Swinging for home, and much like his last start win, Media Man burst through between runners and raced away for an easy win.
Media Man was a purchase by Mark Minervini from the Ambergate Stud draft at the 2019 Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling sale.
The success was Media Man’s fifth and takes his stake earnings in excess of $118,000.
2023 has been a breakout year for Minervini Racing, and Media Man’s second win in as many starts was our boutique stable’s twelfth for the year
– a remarkable effort from a team that caters for a maximum of 16 horses in work!
Congratulations to the owners, Kylie Anderson, Steve & Julie Breban, Jon Bronner, Patrick Farrugia, Wayne Grob, Jason & Martina Hammerstein, Christian Jocumsen, Mark & Michelle Minervini, Jim Smith and Michael Worth.
