In form Adelaide trainer Mark Minervini capitalised on his recent metropolitan success with an early race-to-race double at Gawler. In the first, Minervini was represented by exciting 3YO Triple Tee who was expected to put in a forward showing after his good first up performance behind stable star, Addiction to Rock 10 days earlier. Punters were also anticipating a big showing from the 3YO son of Tayasu Tsuyoshi instilling him as the $2.60 favourite on course.

In only his second career start, Triple Tee did not disappoint his connections with a commanding performance to seal a comfortable 1.5 length victory over Noble Success with Where’s Tim a further 0.6 of a length back in third. Mark Minervini has always had a high opinion of Triple Tee, who is a half brother to his outstanding racemare, Vormista. After the race Minervini was extremely satisfied with the performance “He’s a nice horse this horse, we’ve had some minor problems with him along the way but he’s matured up nicely and is going good. It’s nice that he has justified my opinion of him”. Jockey Shayne Cahill was also complimentary of Triple Tee’s effort highlighting that he’ll only improve with race experience and a little extra distance. Triple Tee will now progress to a restricted race in town where he will no doubt prove difficult to beat.

In the second, exciting 3YO Arena filly and first starter Little House, represented the Minervini stable. On the back of her good trial form behind stablemate Mimiele, punters instilled Little House as the $2.70 favourite. It wasn’t all smooth sailing forthe 3YO who found herself in an awkward position mid-race before being expertly guided by Shayne Cahill to score an impressive 2.6 length victory. Minervini was most impressed with the fillies turn of foot and will no doubt look for a suitable race in town over the coming weeks.

The success of the Minervini stable looks set to continue on Saturday with Hot Diamond, Addiction to Rock and Andamooka Gem looming as realistic chances. It’s certainly an exciting time to be following the Minervini stable. Stay tuned as we anticipate announcing a major story later this week.
