Rubi’s Serve has backed up a super trial effort with a first-up win at Randwick on the Kensington track.

The daughter of Rubick rounded up her rivals with ease in a Newcastle trial at the end of September; a performance that was enough for Mark to challenge the mare to a first-up city tilt, and she duly delivered.

Positioned just off the leaders under Lee Magorrian, Rubi’s Serve motored past her rivals with at the furlong, before racing clear for a well-deserved metropolitan win.

Rubi’s Serve was a $25,000 purchase by Mark from the Baramul Stud draft at the 2022 Magic Millions Gold Coast National Yearling Sale. The win was the mare’s third, and she now has stake earnings of over $125,000.

Congratulations to her owners Tony Blackmore, Kerrie Dailey, Bob Dailey, Craig Dedman, Jason Gallaher, Gerry Harvey, Nicole Heron, Bruce Hosking, Nathan Johns, Gary Metcalf, Michelle Minervini, John Pattison, Alan Rowe, Paul Till, Charlie Zucco, SYN Wungali Racing (Mgr: Bob Dailey), SYN MyGav Racing (Mgr: My Lam), SYN Yarramulwang Boys (Mgr: Alan Rowe), SYN ALT (Mgr: Terry Williams)
