Miss Violet showed her rivals a clean pair of heels in winning her maiden and kicked off 2023 in fine style for Minervini Racing.

The daughter of the former star sprinter and now Newgate Farm stallion Flying Artie had trialled well leading into her fresh run, easily winning a Wyong heat in mid-December.

With Ashley Morgan aboard, the pair jumped cleanly from their inside gate, and were never headed, running away for an easy 1.42L win.

Jockey Ashley Morgan wore a black armband as a mark of respect to the recent passing of part owner Ben Tumsevics, our stable would like to convey our sincere condolences to Ben’s family.

Miss Violet was a purchase by Mark Minervini from the Bowness Stud draft at the 2020 Inglis Scone Yearling Sale. She is the fourth foal from the Not A Single Doubt mare Holly Molly, making her a half-sister to three winners.

Congratulations to her owners Noeleen Benjes, Shannon Betts, Gary Johnson, Steven Kaddour, Heath McInerney, Mark & Michelle Minervini, Annie Tappenden, Ben Tumsevics and Aaron Zaichenko.
