Diamond Lily dived through late to score her first win at Saturday’s Tuncurry meeting.

The daughter of star stallion Written Tycoon has presented Mark and the team with a number of challenges throughout her career, and the win was reward for patience.

Mikayla Weir found herself in an awkward position, three pairs back on the rail approaching the turn, however with a lap full of horse underneath her, the pair were able to push their way through a series of gaps before putting their nose out right on the line.

Diamond Lily is out of the Danzero mare Promise Me Nothing and was a purchase by Mark Minervini from the 2020 Inglis April Digital Online Sale.

Congratulations to her owners Kerrie Dailey, Bob Dailey, Cheryl Dally, Chris Dickinson, Jack Dowd, Ben Gunn, Mary Henzell, Kieran Ives, Gary Johnson, Brendan Keane, Brant Maslen, Jason McDonald, Mark Minervini, Michelle Minervini, Sam Roberts, Peter Rose, Daniel Small, Shaun Smith, Clanbrooke Racing Syndicate (Mgr: Dean Humphries), Promise Me Nothing Syyndicate (Mgr: Brooke Knight).
