With breeders currently planning their matings for the forthcoming Spring I would like to throw in a suggestion, on a recent trip to Willow Grove Stud at Woodside in the Adelaide Hills I was fortunate enough to inspect the Satchell's new stallion the very impressive Mint Lane (USA).
Approaching his second season at stud Mint Lane has let down into a magnificent individual, he his very masculine with good bone, size and scope.
Not only a good looker Mint Lane was a very accomplished racehorse who was cut down in his prime by injury, the same injury could prove to be a real bonus for the South Australian breeding industry! I will definitely be looking at his yearlings when they are sold in 2013.
A visit to Willowgrove to inspect Mint Lane is thoroughly recommended, he stands for a fee of $6,600 inc GST.
